Literature Text

I am the Moon
Ever-changing
Spinning circles around you
Always on the move
You are the Earth
The foundation, the anchor
The stable place that I turn to
My shelter from the sun

What is the Moon without the Earth?
Only dust
Dust that drifts and never finds it’s place
A memory of what could be
If ever you have need of me
Look in the night sky
I always stick to my schedule
And will be forever by your side

Together there is a harmony
A beauty to behold
The Moon circles the Earth
The Earth spins around the sun
We are that which blissfully dances across the cosmos
Singing a song of love for all to hear
I am the Moon and you are the Earth
We are our own universe

One of many poems I have written for my husband over the years. I hope it is worth reading to others. Let me know If you think I should upload other poems. I see this as an experiment, to see if my musings on the written word are up to snuff here.

I knew that was for your hubby the second I started reading it - it's beautiful.
