So our adventure here in Deutschland is coming to a close. We are sad to know we are leaving, but excited for the future as well. I feel an almost panic at the thought of never seeing Europe again. What will I later regret not doing or seeing. How much I will miss the friends I have made here. My art has come so far in the time we have spent here. We do have future plans to possibly live in Italy for a time, but who really knows if their plans will be viable when the time comes. For now we are headed back to the states and I plan to enter university. At this time I plan to study studio art. This should force me to get beyond my comfort level as an artist and I am very excited about that.

What I have been up to

Not that my adoring fans have been screaming for an update or anything, but it has been a long while since I did a journal. I am currently a full time student and have been consumed by classes as well as doing a good bit of traveling the last few years. I have done a lot more photography than I have traditional art. Some days I feel terrible about my lack of painting and some days I couldn't care less. Either way my DA page has fallen by the way side. There was a time when I yearned for the scraps of attention my art got on this sight and I am thankful for the community and my friends getting me through that time in my life. I will try to be better about uploading my creations regardless of their form, but I'll not likely be on here often. I know it has been forever since I did a feature, or even updated anyone on anything for that matter. I have been busy and lazy... Though I am sorry, the trend is not likely to end soon. I am working full time again and it is a longish drive to and from work. That being said, I have found an under exposed artist on here that has a mind blowing gallery. Please check it out.

I have been kicking around the idea to have a poetry contest in January. Since the few I mentioned it to seemed to think it was a good idea, I am gonna run with it. Prizes are still in the works, but one of my ceramic pendants will be up for grabs for sure. People who want to offer prizes should comment.
